Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

Mission: To equip the young women of Iowa for success in the Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen program by providing financial backing for competition costs, mentorship from Iowa’s finest young women, and high-quality wardrobe at little to no cost.

Here at The Teen Queen Collective, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change. We’ve been driven by the same ideas we see in the Miss Iowa Scholarship Program: support, empowerment, and progress. We believe in the MIOT program and the positive effects it can have on young women, especially during their formative teen years. However, many teens feel that they cannot afford the entrance costs or the wardrobe expenses to be successful. That’s where The Teen Queen Collective comes in.

We noticed an injustice happening and came together to create change. In 2020, 58% of families used scholarships to help pay for college. Research shows that white students have a 14.2% chance of getting a scholarship, while minority students have an 11.2% chance. We wanted to do our part to close that gap by ensuring access to the resources we have received firsthand in the Miss Iowa scholarship program. 

Consider us a bridge to your local competition. We provide funding for young women to receive scholarships, a wide variety of appearance wear and competition wardrobe for rent or on loan, and mentorship opportunities to allow these women to gain skills through MIOT. We will provide online and in-person workshops on interview, talent, on-stage question, and fitness. These workshops will be hosted by forever Miss Iowa’s Outstanding teens, forever Miss Iowa’s, former highly attributed candidates and contestants, and of course, the dream team...us!

Every young woman has the heart of a titleholder within her, and we want to reduce those barriers for them.
